I work with dynamic group of creative catering leaders! We plan hundreds of events a year, inspire industry trends and pay close attention to every detail.
A simple in-house sales office birthday or holiday gathering is never just a party but always a production that includes fabulous linen and amazing food! Our life is just one big party which at times is very hard work! There is no doubt we all share the same passion for hospitality and events!
When we heard the news that Kristen Hickey, one of our very own catering managers was engaged we could hardly wait to share in her wedding excitement!
The blissful news was taken to the next level when the bride-to-be selected the Royal Park Hotel to host the ceremony and reception (not a huge surprise).
It was just meant to be!
Kristen and Beau had an event edge compared to most couples planning a wedding. Kristen handles the wedding market at the hotel and fiancé Beau is a very talented culinary chef!
Needless to say the bar was set high from day one!
Kristen and Beau incorporated an upcoming industry trend in design called “wedding branding” which is creating a common theme throughout the entire experience. This common theme or thread is reflected in a monogram, décor and other wedding elements and design details.
The couple fell in love with the song “Something Beautiful” which set the scene and wedding branding! They selected a simple letter B for the monogram and infused the words “Something Beautiful” throughout their special day!
For those of you who subscribe to our blog, Kristen's Pretty in Pink Shower was posted a few months ago. Kristen is in love with the color pink therefore the couple selected cotton candy, champagne and chocolate color profiles for the reception.

We had a small gathering on Kristen's last day of work before the big wedding day and wanted to get her a unique gift. We knew that Kristen was ordering all of her linen from Chair Covers & Linens so we decided to call our Linen Hero, Devonna and inquire about purchasing one of the table linens used for Kristen's reception. The CC&L team was fabulous and ordered a new Cotton Candy linen for the RP team to give as a gift!
BTW: We had to serve pink cotton candy cupcakes for the festive send off and invited MOB - Barb and SOB - Jennifer!
Adorable!
Let's get back to the wedding details...the ladies in the wedding party looked lovely in flowing pink chiffon gowns that snapped off at the knee, transitioning to a short sassy reception dress - perfect for the dance floor!
The ceremony was held in our stunning all glass Belgium conservatory. Fresh rose petals lined the aisle for the grand entrance!
Programs with words to the song "Something Beautiful" written inside and "cherish" tissue packets were passed to each guest before the "I do"...
It's official! Kristen and Beau are husband and wife! Let the wedding reception begin!
Linen plays a major role in the design of your wedding. Unique fabric and textures add dimension and set the mood for the event. Soft or vibrant linen colors make your photos pop and adds a customized expression. Check out the lovely cotton candy overlays and chocolate brown base linen. I love the textured embroidery and pink soft shimmer!
Pink and champagne wrapped cocktail tables
Speaking of champagne...
After the ceremony guests were escorted to the Italian marble gallery, greeted by tray passed “Sex” sparkling wine served in glimmering gold sugar rimmed flutes and artful appetizers.
