EventTrender recently received photos from a fun picnic party that one of our E-Trender followers Rochelle Silcox created this summer! Rochelle handles wedding consultations with clients at Blumz by JR Designs, she is super creative and loves making everyone feel special whether she is entertaining at home or detailing an event at Blumz.
Rochelle's simple and creative touches added character and a fun twist to an outdoor picnic party! We wanted to spotlight these ideas for you just in time for Labor Day!

Check out these cute Corn on the Cob Cupcakes!
Rochelle displayed these treats on a cake stand in the center of her picnic table, and did you see the little decorative ants?!
The inspiration for these cupcakes came from a fabulous book, called Hello Cupcake by Karen Tack and Alan Richardson.
Create these Cute Cupcakes:
Use your favorite cake batter and bake your cupcakes
Frost them with vanilla frosting or a yellow frosting *(do not use a lot of frosting just enough so the jelly beans will stick)
Put three cupcakes in a row next to each other
Assemble Gourmet Jelly Bellys in creamy white and yellow colors in rows on the top of your cupcakes
Use a yellow fruit chew like Banana Laffy Taffy or a yellow Starburst candy and cut it into a square for the butter, then mold the edges with your fingers so that they are more rounded than square
Hello Cupcake TIP: You can put the candy in the microwave for a melted look - no more than 3 seconds!
Top the cupcakes with black and white decorating sugars to resemble salt and black pepper
Put a corn holder on either end and you are all set to place them out for your guests to enjoy!
Next, enjoy your family and friends and have a great Labor Day!
The only way to make memories is to live them!
