Our Eat Drink and Be Scary Post features a delicious spiced wine called Witches Brew. The wine is made by Leelanau Cellars in Omena, Michigan.
Witches Brew is a popular wine to serve in the fall and cooler winter months. You and your guests will enjoy its variety of aromatic spices including cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg!
Serving the Witches Brew Spiced Wine:
Heat it up!
The spices in this wine become more flavorful when heated. Use a crock pot on a low setting to heat the wine, but a microwave or stove top will work too. Keep a close eye on the wine because you do not want it to boil, it will change flavor as it evaporates. A slow simmer is the best way to heat the Witches Brew spiced wine. Pour into your favorite mug and enjoy!
Add Cider!
A very delicious way to enjoy the Witches Brew is to add cider to it! When entertaining, serve this bewitching brew hot or cold!
To serve cold, use a large punch bowl or beverage dispenser, add ice and combine one bottle of the Witches Brew with about 3/4 of a gallon of apple cider.
To serve warm, use a crock pot set on a low setting, combine one bottle of the Witches Brew with about 3/4 of a gallon of apple cider.
ET Tip~ From Leelanau Cellars
Serve the Witches Brew in a goblet or mug with a cinnamon stick and a slice of fresh oranges as a garnish! Another way to serve it cold this fall is in a mason jar over ice!
