Hello E-Trenders! We had thousands of page views and fabulous feedback on Lindsay and Jeff's "Winter Wonder-Glam" wedding blog post! We cant wait to share part two with you and showcase the reception!
It's time for some serious wedding glam!
The wedding reception tabletops featured an alternating color story which added design depth to the Royal Park Hotel Grand Ballroom. Lindsay and Jeff selected colorful satin peacock linen and diamond table runners. White shag linen was featured as the alternative linen adding a snow-like texture. The tables were topped with "glam" celebrity chargers and each chair sash was secured with a stunning silver broach. Lindsay recruited Linen Hero Devonna from Chair Covers & Linens to design and supply the glamorous linen, runners, chivari chairs and other tabletop elements.
Let them eat cake!
Lindsay and Jeff's cake was vanilla based with raspberry filling. The cake featured four tiered hexagon shapes and electric blue fondant ribbon. The cake was then covered in buttercream icing and sugar crystals to look like snow. After the gum paste snowflakes were added Renee from Cakes by Renee airbrushed a pearl coating for a shimmering effect.
White glove tray passed appetizers included chicken sate, savory tuscan mushrooms, angus beef wrapped in asparagus tips and vegetarian spring rolls.
The couple worked with Chef Dan Vernia and selected a mixed green salad with cherry balsamic vinaigrette followed by a citrus intermezzo to cleanse the palate. Guests selected from a "choice menu" featuring char-grilled filet with cremini mushroom and cippolini onion compote served with classic bordelaise sauce.
Other selections included eggplant spedini and this winter chicken wellington with forrest mushroom sauce - delish!
As mentioned in part one of this ET blog post (here), Lindsay is in the special event industry and works for the Palazzo Grande. Her employers gifted Lindsay and Jeff with a dessert grand finale featuring hand-carved fresh fruit and micro confections!
Entertainment was provided by Mike Staff Productions and featured the "FABULOUS" Kurt Colone (and team) who kept the dance floor alive all night! A shout out to Kurt - thanks for taking amazing care of our RPH weddings - we always recieve rave reviews! You rock!
The couple also hired Shutterbooth to capture candid photobooth pictures and offer guests photo-swag takeaways! Click here to learn more about Shutterbooth and all of the unique services they provide!
Another amazing element was this show stopping crystal and spandex wall designed by trendsetter Todd Hardiek, owner of Colonial Events. Todd continues to challenge our industry with his latest creations and thought leadership. This chic spandex wall is sure to be a 2011 event trend! The lighting and hanging crystals take the old school "pipe & drape" to an entire new level!
Lighted fabric columns were placed at each corner of the dance floor - a Colonial signature style! This was the finishing touch to the elegant Royal Grand Ballroom and looked perfect with the Murano crystal chandeliers!
Another shout out to Arising Images for all of the outstanding images used in this blog post!
Congrats to Lindsay and Jeff! We wish you both much love, laughter and happiness. May your life be full of great events!
