April Showers Bring May Flowers! Tis' the season for Mother's Day, Showers & Weddings! We thought we would re-post one of our most popular blog posts for you and share a follow up picture! You are going to love this idea!
E-Trender Kim Simon one of the fabulous shower hostesses and sister of Jen (expecting mom) thought it would be a great idea to reveal the sex of the baby during the shower! After much thought both father and mother (to be) agreed it would be a unique way to share the excitement with family and friends.
Jen and Drew asked the doctor to write down the sex of the baby and place the answer in a sealed envelope which was given to a local cake baker. Can you imagine how much they wanted to tear open the envelope however, both mom and dad waited patiently until the baby shower!
The baker was instructed to open the envelope and add blue buttercream filling for a boy and pink buttercream for a girl! The cake featured fondant question marks and was covered with white icing! There was so much BABY buzz created as the anticipation continued to grow. Lunch was served to all as Jen and Drew joked around with guests to “hurry up and eat” so they could cut the cake!
