Part Two of Sophia's Springtime In Paris Party Post ~ the French Theme Buffet!
Emily and Greg rented a 5' tall Eiffel Tower prop from Display Group to serve as the centerpiece for the buffet.
Greg's family has been in the catering business for over thirty four years and of course his family business, Traveling Chef Catering catered all the food! Theme menus like this French food presentation is one of their specialties!
Chicken salad filled croissants ~ the croissant has long been a staple of French bakeries! The Paper Glitter circle tags were attached to medium size skewer sticks and decoratively placed in the croissants.
Brie Cheese ~ a soft cow cheese named after Brie, the French region where it originated. The brie was glazed with apples, pecans and raisins and served warm with baguette bread.
These crepes were amazing!
Escargot with garlic and butter usually served as an appetizer in France.
ET Tip ~ Some other French theme menu suggestions:
-Quiche Lorraine
-Vegetable Crudite (we previously posted a creative way to display crudite here)
-A cheese and fruit platter with imported cheeses, grapes, figs, candied walnuts, and honeycomb
-Beef Bourguignon
French Beer (Biere) and wine were available for the adults
Desserts ~
A Pretty in Pink Paris Dessert Buffet!
Love the French Poodle cookie...these cookies fit perfectly with the theme!
Emily and Angela made Eiffel Tower Chocolate suckers using an Eiffel Tower candy mold and sucker sticks. Each Eiffel Tower pop was wrapped in a cellophane bag and tied with a ribbon. We put a foam disc in a Paris theme hat box and inserted the Eiffel Tower pops into the foam disc to display!
The linen featured at the party is from Affordable Elegance Chair Covers and Linens!
