E-Trender Sue Keels rescued this adorable vintage ice cream parlor chair and gave it a makeover with a fresh coat of white spray paint and bright red trim. We found these red and blue paper straws here which certainly bring back fond childhood memories!
E-Trenders - we know you want to win this chair and a 25 pack of vintage straws! Simply post a comment on the bottom of this blog post and we will pick a random winner (via comment number)!
BONUS giveaway! Yes, there is MORE! If you "like" our EventTrender facebook page (here) and post a comment about this post on our facebook page, one lucky FB facebook fan will win 50 vintage straws!
Okay E-Trender's let's get back to the post now that we have shaken things up a bit!
Hershey's offers a variety of syrup flavors including caramel...
and strawberry...
Simply add your favorite syrup to vanilla ice cream with a splash of cream or milk.
Here are a few recipe suggestions...
Caramel Apple Milkshake
1 cup applesauce, unsweetened
2 cups vanilla ice cream
1 cup milk
1/4 cup of caramel syrup
Put the applesauce, caramel, and ice cream in a blender and blend until it becomes smooth. Then, add the milk, and blend some more. Pour the milkshake mixture in small tasting glasses and add whipped cream and a cinnamon stick to each milkshake before serving.
Citrus Lime Milkshake
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
1 scoop of lime sherbet
1/4 cup milk
Crushed ice
Thin slices of fresh lime
Combine all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Serve with whipped cream and thinly sliced lime.
Chocolate Covered Cherry Shake
3/4 cup cold milk
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
1/4 cup chocolate syrup
3 maraschino cherries, with the stems removed
Combine milk, ice cream, cherries, and chocolate syrup in a blender and process until it becomes smooth. Pour into serving glasses and top with the whipped topping and a cherry.
Time is mix it up!
We purchased mini milkshake glasses at the Dollar Store and cut the vintage straws in half.
Now pour your shake creation in each glass and top with whipped cream!
Add the vintage straws to each shake...
and sprinkle nuts or candy on top.
We placed the micro-shakes on the ice cream parlor chair which enhanced the overall presentation and nostalgic theme.
Don't forget E-Trenders you have a chance to create this presentation in your own home or for your next party! Enter our "What's Shaking" ET giveaway today!
