"Listen! The wind is rising, and the air is wild with leaves.
We had our summer evenings, now for October eves!"
~Humbert Wolfe~
E-Trenders we know the summer is over and holiday cheer is around the corner however, if you want to savor your summer vacation memories check out this ET idea inspired by Martha Stewart!
Start with a mason jar and summer vacation swag!
E-Trender Sue Keels selected sand from her favorite beach in Grand Haven, rocks & acorns picked from the woodlands in Michigan, a lighthouse ornament, postcard & magnet found at a local souvenir shop.
Fill a mason jar with a cup of beach sand.
Insert a postcard or your favorite family vacation photo by curling the end and placing it upright in the mason jar. Tuck the postcard in the sand to keep it secure.
Using a sharpie marker write the date and or location on a couple swag elements you are adding to the jar. Shells and rocks seem to work best!
Cover the top of the mason jar with a square piece of burlap.
This round magnet fit perfect on top of the mason memory jar. Wrapping twine around the lid adds a finishing touch!
What is your favorite summer vacation memory E-Trenders?
